Frequently asked questions
1. How much will my stamp cost?
The price of your stamp will depend on the size of your text / artwork. There are
3 easy ways to find out how much your stamp will cost:
1. Upload your file / enter your text and let the system show you all models and
prices
2. If you know the size of your design you can check any stamp category to see respective
price
3. If you still haven't found your price, send us an Email with your enquiry.
2. Does it cost extra to produce a stamp from my artwork?
No. Stamp prices do not depend on what is on the stamp, but how big a stamp will
be. You can produce basically anything as a stamp as long as it is a black and white
image.
3. Which graphic formats can be uploaded for stamp production?
You can upload most of the commonly known formats such as
.bmp, .png, .jpg, .tif,
.gif. Please make sure that the resolution of any graphic you upload is
600dpi. If resolution is not high enough your image will be "pixelated" -
ie round elements will look square. If your file is too large (more than 500KB)
we will convert it for you in order to make it uploadable. Please Email any such
file to us on
info@rubberstampz.co.uk
4. Can I order a rubberstamp with text and a logo?
Yes. Please use a graphic program on your computer and place logo and text in the
way you wish. Once you have done that you can create a graphic file and upload that
on our website. Please make sure resolution is 600dpi. If file size is too
large (500KB+) you can send it to us for conversion.
5. Can I use Excel-, Word or PowerPoint artwork?
This type of artwork cannot be uploaded directly as these programs do not create
graphic formats. Therefore please Email us any such artwork on
info@rubberstampz.co.uk and we will be happy to convert those for
you. This service is free of charge.
6. What font size / type can I use?
Please make sure that any font used is at least 6pt in size and that lines of any
font are not too fine. Otherwise the imprint will not be clear and the stamp wears
out more quickly.
7. Can my signature be turned into a stamp imprint?
No problem at all! Please scan your signature and upload the scanned file on our
website. Make sure that you use a pen that gives a clear image of the signature.
Again make sure to create a file with a resolution of 600dpi.
8. What colour will my stamp print in?
During the ordering process you can choose the colour of your stamp imprint. For
most stamps and pads the following colours are available: black, red, blue, green,
violet. For other colours please check our "special ink" section. Special inks are
to be used with a classic rubber stamp and a dry pad.
9. What will happen if the artwork I have uploaded is not good enough?
If you have uploaded a file which is not good enough for production we will contact
you by Email or phone. You will then have the possibility to redo your artwork and
send us that by Email. We strive to deliver highest quality rubber stamps and will
do our best to help you with conversion etc. as much as we can. In general we do
not produce artwork from scratch.
10. The preview on my screen seems to be poor quality?
Any artwork uploaded at a high resolution or any text designed in our online text
editing tool will be perfect for production. In order to reduce loading / waiting
time on the internet we display compressed files at a lower resolution. Therefore
artwork displayed on screen can appear different than printed. For production we
will always use the uploaded original.
11. What happens if I notice a typing error in the stamp?
Our production process is fully automated - we do not change / retype any text provided
by our customers. Please make sure you have entered the stamp text exactly as you
would like it produced. Especially in post codes, Email-adresses and phone numbers.
Changes after production has started will not be possible any more. If we notice
a typing error we will put your order on hold and contact you by Email.
12. I have a discount voucher - where do I enter the code?
Please enter your voucher code in the respective field on the right hand side of
the screen during the ordering process and click "use voucher". Your discount will
then be displayed in the shopping basket.
13. What else do I need to keep in mind while creating artwork?
Whenever you create artwork please make sure to keep white borders around your desing
to a minimum. Our uploading tool will then calculate the smallest possible stamp
model for your artwork. White boarders will not be detected by our system therefore
a model too large may be chosen.
14. How long will it take for my stamp to arrive?
All orders are normally dispatched within 24h and are shipped by First Class Royal
Mail. Orders therefore generally take 2-3 working days to arrive.
15. My stamp has not arrived. What do I do now?
Generally stamps arrive within 2-3 working days. It can happen that Postal Services
take longer. If your stamp has not arrived within 3-4 days, please
1. check with your local Post Office,
2. Make sure the address you have entered for your order is correct
3. Make sure your order has not been left with a neighbour or with e.g. reception
at your work
If everything should be ok and there is still no sign of your order, please contact
us by Email and we will immediately take the necessary steps to make sure you receive
your order asap.
16. How do I exchange the ink pad of my rubber stamp?
Press down stamp slightly (4-5mm) and lock with the two buttons on the side of the
stamp. The text plate is now lifted from the ink pad. The ink pad can now be pushed
out like a 'drawer' and a new ink pad inserted. For Trodat's original instructions
on how to exchange the ink pad please go to
www.click-out.net.
17. How do I exchange my text plate?
Press down the stamp fully and lock with the two buttons on the side of the stamp.
You can now remove the old textplate. Now add the new text plate making sure it
is properly aligned.
PLEASE NOTE: Also insert a new ink pad (included in delivery) in order to make sure
you get a perfect imprint with your new text plate.
18. How can I send you fonts via e-mail?
Please open the Windows-Explorer and go to your
Local Disk (your hard drive). Open the folder labeled
windows and navigate to the
fonts folder. This folder contains all fonts that are installed on your PC. Simply copy the necessary font onto your desktop and send it as an attachment to
info@rubberstampz.co.uk.
